ALCHEMISTS
OF LEATHER ARTICLES

We support tanneries in the development of new articles, solving the technical challenges associated with a living and complex material like leather and ensuring the constant quality required by the market.

THE CHEMICAL SOUL
OF THE TANNING INDUSTRY

Our innovative vision drives us to anticipate industry trends and constantly look to the future. Every milestone reached represents just one stage in our continuously evolving journey.

Passion, technology, synergy, and respect for the environment are the fundamental pillars of our corporate philosophy, guided by the mission of fully understanding customer needs to transform them into tailored solutions.

WE ARE OSMO

WET END

We are committed to providing constant support to our customers at every stage of the process. We maintain direct contact with those responsible for processing and conduct periodic visits to the tannery to analyze every aspect together.

Starting from raw hides, we begin the tanning process with the aim of transforming them into a hygienic and durable product. We design solutions for chrome and chrome-free tanning, aldehyde white base, metal-free COSMOWHITE®, and enzyme-based tanning.

Once tanning is complete, we obtain a material ready for retanning, from which a semi-finished product is derived.

Through our partnership with HTF, we specialize in the production of technical chemicals and dyes for the tanning sector and guarantee complete coverage from the beginning to the end of the process: from tanning to product finishing.

Once the retanning phase is complete, the process passes into the hands of our partner HTF, which handles the final stage of leather processing, giving it the desired appearance and characteristics. Through attention to detail, the leather is ensured an impeccable look and long-lasting durability.

For all finishing stages, visit HTF®, a leader in finishing products and technologies.

FUTURE-PROOF SOLUTIONS

COSMOWHITE

COSMOWHITE

We have dedicated several years to the research and development of a globally recognized patent known as CosmoWhite®, a registered trademark that identifies our innovative production process for low-environmental-impact chrome and metal-free leathers.

GINGER

GINGER

It represents a tangible symbol of sustainability in the tanning sector, with the goal of achieving near-zero environmental impact and adopting a balanced approach that harmonizes the production process with the surrounding ecosystem.

The market for low-environmental-impact products is one of Osmo’s primary missions.

In an industrial sector with origins dating back centuries, growing ecological sensitivity is redefining leather processing paradigms, and we want to be protagonists of this change. From this ecological sensitivity, the patented COSMOWHITE® process (metal-free, over 90% biodegradable leathers) and the ZenZero® line were born.

THE POWER OF RESEARCH: OUR LABORATORY

ANALYSIS

The analysis laboratory, equipped with innovative instrumentation, performs a wide range of tests, including those for lightfastness, heat resistance, tear strength, abrasion resistance, water repellency, and many others. We offer a true outsourced R&D service for tanneries that goes beyond simple traditional assistance, representing a strategic resource for development and research.

TANNING

We have a fully automated laboratory for tanning, retanning, and dyeing, unique in the leather chemicals sector, equipped with ten drums operating 24 hours a day. Our technicians can constantly monitor all process variables, particularly times and temperatures, relying on high standards in terms of precision and application repeatability.
